DIEHL Going Green

The Diehl Automotive Group has made some exciting changes over the past year. From expanding the facility to converting to an environmentally friendly waterborne paint technology, we at The Diehl Collision Center are staying at the forefront of technology while doing our part to protect the environment.

Our use of waterborne basecoat for refinishing our customers’ vehicles significantly reduces the emission of volatile organize compounds (VOCs) into the atmosphere. Not only is the paint better ecologically, it gives better color matches and it is faster to complete a repair when compared to the system we were using. Because the water-based process required a complete change over with investment in new equipment and spraying techniques, we’ve also undergone total equipment upgrades and PPG provided technician training to complete the transition.
